Overview of the profile of Admiral TNI (Ret.) Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno (born in Magelang, Central Java, 20 September 1952; age 63 years[1]) is the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia who served from 27 October 2014 until August 12, 2015. Tedjo has also been the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL) for the period 2008-2009. After Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X resigned from the National Democratic (Nasdem) mass organization (Nasdem) as Chairman of the Board of Trustees (Wanbin), Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno was appointed to fill the position left by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X. Subsequently he was appointed as Acting General Chairman of mass organizations (Ormas) National Democratic (Nasdem).

Education and career

Tedjo completed his military education at the Naval Academy (AAL) batch 21 in 1975. In addition, other military educations he has attended are the Youth Officers Course, ABRI Dikbang, Sus Prostis, Diklapa 2, Seskoal Batch 29, Sesko ABRI, and Lemhanas KRA 34. Tedjo obtained his Law Degree from Hangtuah University Surabaya in 2001.
